If you've come to this page expecting some kind of Newcastle United related information then please let me direct you to the best unofficial (or official for that matter) site that is out there NUFC.com.

You've really got to be running in at least 800x600 for this site to be useable. Hopefully it will run OK on any recent browser; it will certainly be OK on Mozilla v1.0 and IE6, since I'm using those to test it.

Off Topic.

Interested in Digital UK Maps? I have found some people that make cheap maps in shapefile format. Check out LG01 Maps.

They are selling a pack of 10 maps (Postal Area, Postal District, Postal Sector, Ward, Unitary Authority, NHS regions, LEA regions, Country, County and Govenment District) for a few hundred quid for a seat. It's all lots and lots cheaper than someone like Bartholomews or OS.

I've noticed that this page comes out top of the list if you search for 'gallowgate' on google, so here's a link to some relevant material about the Gallowgate End at Newcastle. These memories certainly reflect my experiences, although I am thankful to have missed out on the warm-yet-wet experience :-)

This is the first day of the third incarnation of this website. With any luck it will grow as time goes on, incorperating the best bits of my previous web sites. It really can't be much worse than what went before it and hopefully won't be so heavy as to be unuseable by people with dial-up connections.

Here's some quick background to the Gallowgate name and why I chose it as my domain name.

I am a Newcastle supporter and have been going to games, predominantly in the Gallowgate End where I currently have a season ticket, for 18 years. That said, this web page is currently self-indulgent and contains little or no Toon Content.
